CRPH-OFP Urges Public Participation in “To Magway” Campaign to Support Nationwide Uprising
The CRPH – OFP has called for public participation in the “To Magway” campaign, a part of preparations for the upcoming nationwide uprising against the military junta.
“We, the OFP fundraisers, often collaborate with the Ministry of Defense (MOD) to pre-arrange logistics and resources for future military operations. Our role is also to mobilize public contributions to support ground-level battalions that might soon be involved in significant combat. That’s why we’re currently organizing the ‘To Magway’ campaign. The goal is to provide bulletproof vests and helmets for battalions operating under the MOD in Magway Region,” a representative from the OFP Fundraising Program told Radio NUG.
The campaign aims to raise $200,000 USD, and while that may seem like a large amount, the organizers are optimistic that it can be achieved through widespread public support.
Magway Region, located in central Myanmar, borders Chin State, Sagaing Region, Bago Region, and Rakhine State. It is a strategically important area in terms of both military and economy. The junta operates significant weapons factories and printing presses there, such as those in Wazi, which are critical to their military and financial operations.
As stated by Defense Minister U Yee Mon, Health and Education Minister Dr. Zaw Wai Soe, and U Min Ko Naing, signs of a nationwide offensive are already emerging, and the long-anticipated large-scale resistance operation is believed to be imminent.
“In this revolutionary moment, as momentum continues to build across the country, protective equipment like bulletproof vests and helmets are essential supplies for PDF troops operating in Magway. This isn’t just a supply effort—it’s a form of long-term human resource protection,” another OFP campaign coordinator added.
Supporters can contribute to the “To Magway” campaign through the Main Campaign Page or via relevant international OFP fundraising networks.
